Public holidays never seem so appealing.

I came home last night and saw my bed, and i thought "hey! i have two pillows????"

I dumped the laundry at a corner and marvelled at the washing machine.

I went to shower and i thought, "oh wow, hot water!"

I picked up the phone and realised, "unlimited talk time!!"

I went to bed and i thought "AIRCON! and nice quilt!!"


Somethings are just taken for granted sometimes.. if there's anything i learnt over the past few days, it's how to treasure what you've been blessed with.. This morning Benny ate the Pao i wanted.. (hahaahaa) but it really didn't matter as much, cos there were other types of Pao in the box.. lol! sounds so retarded.. but suddenly trivials things like this don't matter as much. I learnt contentment, that's the word. I'm learning resillience. I practice it 24hrs daily.. even when i go to bed.. cos i'm constantly afraid that i'll unknowlingly do something wrong and pay the consequences. Everything in the world seems wonderful and beautiful all of a sudden. Pray for me pls, that i dun pick up bad habits and that i'll continue to stay firm in my faith. I hardly have time to set aside to pray and read the bible.


I can't blog about what happens in training. It's a chargable offence. sry.

Well the past week was certainly well spent. Catching up with many people before tmr comes. Terra Incognita indeed (unexplored territory). An unlit path full of surprises both benign and malignant lie ahead.. wat am I to expect? Dear Lord walk before me to guide me, beside me for company, and behind me to catch me when I fall.

Okay, i'm really gonna miss weekly cell group meetings. Taking that train all the way down to clementi, bumping into Yen Yu on my way there as in makes his way home from work. I'm gonna miss eating at that hawker, drinking my sugar cane jia ling mong. haha. And i haven't tried all the food there yet!!! Den after that, scamper into the car so that the chorus of birds dun rain down on you (they haven't done so yet..) singing songs in a capella or sometimes with the guitar, and watching Pastor Lance preach thru the tv. Drinking ribena in Aunty Joyce's comfortable sitting room. Eating kangeroo jerky, grapes, bah kwa... lol. Sharing! the most important thing and the thing i'm probably gonna miss the most.. having that wonderful platfrom of sharing and prayer. Updating each other on our lives. Praying for one another. rarrr. Cell groups are important. Oh and then daniel will drive Deb, Kelly and I home.. Thanks Daniel!!!! :) Oh well. I'll be back soon. I hope.

Ran app5km this morn with Josiah and notso Dua Bao. I didn't stop! YAY! :D I sound so pathetic. Hahaha! But at least i'm getting better. :p Oh then a silly and regrettable thing happened in the showers. I placed my pouch with shampoo and cologne bottle inside, on top of the shelf. It fell off while i wasn't looking and the whole glass bottle smashed to pieces. Ah what a waste.. but i took a while to enjoy that few minutes of fragrance. hahaaa.

Lunched with the choir peeps after that. Chatted with the chorale seniors, my peers who came back.. nice to see them again. :) All the guys are baldies.. hahaha. My turn soon. Yes yes.

Musicfest was good! :)

Pretty entertaining, especially the MTVs. This year's booklet also much nicer.. The opening item by VJC Dance ensemble was nice, i liked their choreo.. their formations and stuff.. worth mentioning. Vocal solos were not fantastic, but not too bad either, Xin Min deserved to win, she was the only one enjoying herself at the performance. PBJ engaged the audience more than the others, i guess that's why they managed to out-perform long time favs (G.A.F.C. or did i get the letters jumbled up..) "Two days" was funny! Pity the judges were looking for other things. But "October's loss" deserved to win too! I like their blend. :)

Met up with Dua Bao yesterday to visit VJ. My goodness, he's some kind of dynamo now! So much energy and stamina. We went running at ECP in the morning and he didn't stop at all, he just kept going. We did 5.2km first, (He did 6.4) rested, then another 2.4km. Ah, my stamina now sux. Need to get in shape man. Must at least complete 5km without stopping!! Shucks. I used to be able to. The good old school days. Haha. Oh after that, Dua Bao went for another 3.3km. The things army does to you.. can't call him Dua Bao anymore man. Shall call him not so dua bao.


It was great catching up with everyone.. k not everyone. Going cycling with them again later. Hope the weather stays this way! It's quite pitiful seeing the year2s getting so drained by the routine of school. Haha. Makes me wonder if i was like that last year. Forced to conform to a pattern of life i did not choose.. sheesh, that sounds bad. Gambatte ppl! It'll be over soon! Enjoy whatever there is to enjoy yea!!


Bumped into Samantha and Yen Yu separately on the way for cell group yesterday! I didn't know he was working at that area! I pass by every week!!! lol. Too bad we only met now, won't be attending cell for a while liao. :(


Oh badminton the other day was fun, albiet we could only play for a while before they turned off the lights! haha! Got trashed by the adults, but Kathy won! That last back-hand drop shot was beautiful. lol. Uncle SK cannot keep up liao. :p

Well Planetshakers concert was great! Somehow i preferred Tim Hughes though.. maybe it's the familiar songs so at least I could sing along. (hey it rhymes) Anyways, i wonder how many of us can truely say that "we're living all for you!!!!!" *boom boom boom* "One way..." It's a tough thing to do. Sometimes i really wanna take my future into my own hands.. I needa learn to trust God alot more man. I want to be reminded about 3-4 years ago, when i can really say 'God was my portion and deliverer, strong tower...'

Army's coming up, not exactly the best time to start afresh.. but we shall see :) And I shall pray!

I made an extremely delightful discovery last evening!

1st of May is Labour Day ie Public Holiday!!
ie. I don't have 2 week confinement for BMT!!!!!

Dad was telling me how last time he'd book out, sleep, wake up to a wonderful feast, then sleep and soon book back in.. Heh. I wonder.

Yay! Visited choir again todae. Then lydia, josiah, danny and gabriel appeared too. Haha. The choir sounds good and their choreo is so funny! Pity i can't watch them at their peak. Nice to see so many familiar faces again! Maybe i'll go back one last time before NS consumes me whole. I miss all those wonderful people. It was great being able to catch up with RR, XY, Mongxz and XJ! Too bad the rest had to stay back for prac.


Youth team is leading worship tmr. Pretty daunting.. scary.. well.. one shot at it before NS comes..

Was my time in VJ spent for the sole purpose of obtaining that slip of paper.. my passport to places in the world..

Yea it probably is one of the most important reasons. But for it to be the only reason would be quite sad.. 2 years is indeed rather short. Perhaps I would have done better off being born a year later and then i could try for IP. But then again.. would it make any difference? Perhaps i'm just not cut out to be a very good friend.. So they say.. 1 or 2 good friends is a blessing. Anything more than that is a gem. Do i dare to call myself anyone's good friend? hmm. Not when i don't even know what the other person is going through.. no way..

Of course that wouldn't be fair to some people. Thanks Eugene for sharing so much with me these 4 months.. I hope that after I enlist we'll still be able to hang out..

Today was an interesting day! HAHA.
Met Liying on the bus to parkway and then she became my girlfriend for 10minutes.. lol! wth..

Well expo is a nice place to study.. quite nice la.. only coffee bean music a little loud..
OH! And because they didn't allow consumption of outside food within their area for fear of having their liscence revoked.. sis and i had to move our chairs and table (which blonged to coffee bean btw) a few INCHES out of the coffee bean area to eat.. afterwhich we moved them back..

Talk about loopholes! whooo! the coffee bean staff there rox! she was the one who told us to do it.. o.O


Met up with tiramisu yest for lunch and had a fun time testing pens at prints.. hahaha.. silliness.. ohoh! I learnt a new lame joke today!! And i read it off, can you believe it, a bubble tea cover.. here goes..
